Frequently Asked Questions

Would SKYLINE PROFITS be open to considering alternative proposals which do not entail making use of government guarantees or investments into state-sponsored projects?

  • Yes. We are open to alternative proposals but the security/collateral must have an international standing/rating.

How flexible is SKYLINE PROFITS in terms of SKYLINE PROFITS's investment approach and requirements?

  • The group works swiftly if the security/collateral is confirmed via an acceptable bank transmission and the release of the project/investment funds will be based on the authentication/verification of the final security/collateral documents received by the group's bankers.
  • A pre-advice from the group's bank (releasing the funds) will be sent to the receipient bank for the purpose of verifying that the funds are of non-criminal origin and are, free, clean and clear funds. This is to obtain the approval from the recipient that they will accept the group's bank and funds to be remitted for the funding of their project.
  • When the pre-advice is acknowledged/approved by the recipient government or bank – the unconditional fund transfer will be managed by the group's bankers via funds transfer documents / messages via bank-to-bank communication.

Are investments made in hard currency or local currency?

  • Investments initially come from hard currency. In some cases, local currency is accepted for re-payment as a possibility to invest in the same country that the funds were needed or for re-investment with approvals.

What is the process of applications for funding?

  • Initial step is via a LOI (letter of intent), followed by the RWA (ready, willing and able) document from the borrower / funding recipient.  SKYLINE PROFITS will then provide a Term Sheet / Proposal. Once term sheet is accepted, a loan agreement is signed  and the procedure on the term sheet is followed.

Would SKYLINE PROFITS consider a World Bank sponsored guarantee in lieu of a government guarantee?

  • No.

Would SKYLINE PROFITS consider making funds available to take-over a non-listed publicly traded company, which is not owned by government and without a government guarantee?

  • Yes. Collateral such as a bank Guarantee or SBLC is needed and must be renewed per annum until such time that the loan is fully serviced

Please elaborate on the need for a government guarantee when making investments, how do SKYLINE PROFITS envisage this be structured?

  • The funds of the group are available for a continuous period of 30 years for any government funding needs. This is a very long period. As such, the group needs to cover the political risks, project failures, bankruptcy issues, change of policies when government rulers’ change and the security for the return of funds is of paramount importance. As such,an acceptable international security document is needed as the group does not engage in the project investment or monitoring of the project, neither is the group implementors or act as a beneficiary of the project, be it directly or indirectly.

Does SKYLINE PROFITS target specific industries/sectors/countries?

  • No. Based on the feasibility of the project on a case by case basis, preferably with longer gestation periods & where no commercial funds could be attracted easily.  For Government sectors, no conditions if the government monitors their own project performances and cash flow.
